From the Southern California punk scene, they are one of the most influential American punk bands of all time. Their high-intensity music has endured and evolved since the group’s original banding in 1976 as teen-agers growing up in the San Fernando Valley. They’ve recorded over a dozen albums and countless hit singles including Infected, No Control, Recipe for Hate, and Sorrow. While the heavy guitars and aggressive drumbeats that represent punk music do in fact pervade most of their music, their intelligent lyrics appeal to a wide spectrum of audiences. They played Street Scene last year, and we had to have them back for 2003. |
