historic Gaslamp Quarter and East Village, Brazil celebrates its 181st
year of independence from the sovereignty of Portugal. Street Scene’s annual Brazil Carnival with its pulsating samba music and colorful processions of dancers clad in sequins and feathers gives festival goers an exciting feel of Brazil’s rich and festive culture, and an experience of Rio's legendary Carnival. | The fire is always on during this outrageoes Drag Show Cabaret, returning for its 6th year to Street Scene. Lovely drag queens santé across the stage, delivering exciting, hilarious, risqué, and even raunchy performances of pop hits and old school musical classics. You might see a mirage of Cher or even Madonna? The cast of spicy Babettes is led by the infamous Babette Schwartz whose colorful humor, irrepressible personality, and mammoth stage presence make this scandalous production a Street Scene must see!
